Eleventh hour always?
Research has shown that atleast 20 - 25% of customers pay their bills on the last day or even beyond and this is true across spectrum like school fees, insurance, telephone bills, credit card payments, electricity bills etc.
If you have observed the rush of people filing their income tax returns on the last two days (even after n number of extensions), you will really understand what I’m talking about!
The questions you must really ask yourself are:
a. Am I saving a fortune by delaying my payments until the last moment?
b. Can I afford to stand in the long queues for long and ignore my important tasks and work?
c. What are the consequences of missing the payment beyond the last date and am I prepared to face them?
